5 Affordable Smartphones

Looking for the best affordable smartphones? It could be that you are travelling and don’t want to take your expensive iPhone. Or maybe you are shopping for your main phone but on a budget? There are some great budget phones out there that can do almost everything your iPhone can do. The only thing you will really miss on a cheap phone is a quality camera. But you can generally pick up a decent budget smartphone for under £100 these days. Here are some of our favourite affordable smartphones: 

Ulefone NOTE 9P

The Ulefone note is a popular choice budget smartphone in 2021. It has a 6.52 inch water drop screen and a 16 Megapixel Quad camera. The ergonomic design of this phone makes it comfortable to use and it also has a 3-card slot for 256GB extra memory. Motorola Moto G8

Next up is the Motorola G8 Power Lite. The screen size is around the same as the Ulefone Note 9P, and the battery life a little stronger at 5000 mAH. It is ultra responsive and has a 16 Mega Pixel triple camera. Again this smartphone has a 64GB capacity and a dedicated space for a 256GB microSD slot.

OPPO A5

OPPO smartphones are becoming extremely popular in Australia and South East Asia. The A5 is one of the sturdiest and best value affordable smartphones out there. The OPPO A5 has a Snapdragon 665 processor and a 500 man battery. It has a very eye catching design which makes it look more expensive than it actually is! The camera is a quad camera and although the camera isn’t that advanced, we feel that this phone is good value for the money. 

Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC

The Xaomi Poco X3 is one of the best iPhones for the cash! Coming in at just under £200, it has a Snapdragon 732G Processor and a 5160mAh battery. It operates windows 10. One of the best things about the Xaomi Poco X3 is that it has a 64MP rear camera and a 20MP front camera. This smartphone boasts excellent battery life and a 120Hz screen which is rare on such a low budget.  

Huawei P Smart

Last but not least is the Huawei P Smart which has been a long time leading affordable smartphone since 2019. It’s a comfortable phone to hold at 6.21 inches and it has a sleek design for the money. With a useable camera and plenty of storage (32/64GB) it’s still an excellent option.
